Strength in Struggle

Strength in Struggle

Brandon and I always knew we wanted children and when we decided to start our family in 2020 we thought it would happen easily and we’d have a baby 9 months later. Little did we know the journey we would be embarking on to grow our family.

Infertility and loss is so prevalent today and its something you don’t always hear about - until you are in it. It’s not something that is easy to talk about, but it is something that is meaningful to so many families.

Through our long journey of infertility and loss we have found hope in hearing others stories. No two paths in the world of infertility are the same but they all have a special connection. I found so much comfort in talking to friends about their experiences while going through something as well. Sharing my story didn’t make the pain of that loss go away but it did make me feel less alone and hopefully for what the future could hold. Which is part of the reason Brandon and I wanted to start this collaboration, was to unite those struggling.

If you have experienced infertility or loss you know the highs and lows you go through. Like seeing that positive pregnancy test and feeling like you are on top of the world to having the doctor tell you about your miscarriage only a few short weeks later and feeling like life couldn’t get any lower. It’s exhausting, it’s hard, it’s emotional; but overtime when you look back on those highs and lows you can see that beautiful “mountain range” thats standing in your memories and YOU are in the center stronger with every peak.

Those highs and lows are what inspired this collaboration with Tiny Turnip. We wanted high quality products and a design that spoke to men and women who have experienced these trial, while providing a little comfort knowing other people have walked a trail similar to theirs. Tiny Turnip always has the cutest designs with so much detail and thought put into all of their clothing, we knew this artwork would turn out so special.

This collaboration is something Brandon and I are so excited for. Getting to work with Tiny Turnip and create something that has a wonderful meaning while also raising money to help families struggling with infertility and loss is something we have dreamed about. Part of the proceeds of this collection will benefit Baby Quest. Baby Quest is an organization that Brandon and I have worked with in the past that provides grants to families that can’t afford fertility treatments or medications.

Brandon and I are very fortunate that we can afford fertility treatments to grow our family and we feel strongly that the large cost surrounding fertility treatment should not inhibit families from having children, which is why we appreciate the work of Baby Quest and hope to support it as much as we can.

Our hope with this collection is that you can find a piece (or two) that you love for yourself or friend who has experienced infertility or loss and that piece of clothing gives you/them a little glimmer of hope knowing the strength it takes to go through that struggle and that you/they aren’t alone in the journey.

From the bottom of our hearts Brandon and I thank you for sharing this road with us and allowing us to make a difference. We appreciate you and are praying for all of the infertility warriors out there past and present that you find strength in your struggle and that you know you have people supporting you.

“Trust in the Lord with all your heart and lean not on your own understanding; in all your ways submit to him and he will make your paths straight.”
